night time routine

Hi, how are you doing?

I’ve been working on a night time routine for quite a while now and I thought it would be nice to share it with you. This is definitely something I’ve struggled with a lot in the past and it’s still hard work to keep it going but so so worth it! The reason I wanted to create a routine for the evening/ night time is to have more control over the amount and quality of sleep hours at night.

a little life update and what to expect

Hello everyone!

 

How are you doing? Have you had a lovely summer so far?

I wanted to post a little life update here on my blog because I’ve been gone for quite a while now. To tell you the truth, I simply just wanted to take some time off from writing. It started to feel like something I had to do instead of something I wanted to do. And this being a hobby for me, it didn’t make any sense to keep doing something that brought unnecessary stress into my life.

next level delicious : sweet potato pizza

 

This week has been my first holiday week of this summer. And when I look out the window, all I see is cloudiness, rain and wind. It’s literally gone from sunshine and 25°c to this and 12°c. Clearly I’m not going to be having picnics and walking on the beach. But what this weather has offered, is time to work inside, to cook and bake. I’m quite enjoying it!

 

A sweet potato pizza is something that has been on my list of things I want to try sometime and I’m not exactly sure why it’s taken me so long. I’ve been eating quite a lot of sweet potatoes lately, always having at least one in the fridge. Usually it’s been oven baked wedges with other vegetables and/or tomato sauce. But now I felt like trying something different and then it clicked. A sweet potato pizza. Now is it’s time.

summer bucket list

 

Hello everyone. What’s good about your day?

I woke up to a sunny day this morning feeling all energized and motivated. I’ve been doing yoga quite regularly for the last couple of weeks and I can’t even explain how good it leaves my body feeling. Concentrating on breathing has always been a bit “out there” for me, I haven’t really gotten the grasp of it, but I feel like I’m finally getting to a point in my yoga practices that I’m noticing a change. It’s something so powerful and leaves me feeling light and almost like I’m floating in the air. Like I’m part of the air I’m breathing. It’s exhilarating. That is what’s good about my day. I get to make my body move in a way that strengthens me and gives me joy.

summer drinks

 

Summer is the time to look out for your hydration more so than ever. For me this is an ongoing problem and far too often I find myself realizing in the evening that I’ve only drank maybe a glass or two of water. Not good. And the thing is, if you start your day with at least one glass of water and keep yourself hydrated throughout the day, you will feel so much more energized and balanced. So why is it so hard to act the way you know to be good and important?
